Responsible for tax planning, compliance and income tax accounting for all DTCC global entities, encompassing all U.S. federal, state and local income, commercial rent, personal property and sales and use taxes; non-U.S. income and indirect taxes; and all U.S. GAAP and IFRS tax accounting requirements.
The Tax Manager is responsible for all tax matters relating to U.S. operations for a U.S.-based multinational corporation, including global compliance, planning and tax accounting
Oversee U.S. & international tax provision on all activities for U.S. multi-national company.
Prepare quarterly and year-end tax provision calculations, analyze deferred tax assets & liabilities, and reconcile tax accounts
Maintain earnings & profits, and tax basis balance sheets
Analyze income tax accounting impact of transactions and establish tax strategies to minimize overall tax rate and cash tax payments
Manage income tax compliance and planning for U.S. subsidiaries including preparation and review federal & state income tax forms and work papers
Assist Tax Team on all VAT and other indirect tax compliance and related matters on a global basis
Assist in all tax audits, related matters, conduct tax research and prepare technical memorandums
Research regarding recently issued accounting guidance, including analysis to determine potential income tax accounting consequences to DTCC Maintenance and reconciliation of all tax accounts on a monthly basis including the determination of appropriate tax reserves pursuant to FIN 48
5-7 years of tax experience at Big 4 accounting firm or similar experience in a large multi-national environment with a focus on: (i) US income tax compliance, and (ii) ASC 740 income tax accounting.
Knowledge and Skills Required:
Compliance & tax provision experience in corporate taxation in large consolidated federal income and unitary/combined tax returns
Advanced computer skills with knowledge of tax technology, system and software matters (OneSource Tax Compliance and Tax Provision)
Ability to research and analyze complex issues; strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
Ability to prioritize tasks
Highly organized self-starter
High degree of accuracy and ability to meet deadlines in a time sensitive environment
