The Accounting Policy Manager provides subject matter expertise and policy support in accounting, financial reporting and other treasury matters and responsible for participating in the process of developing, maintaining, monitoring, and enforcing accounting policy as it relates to T. Rowe Price sponsored investment products and in accordance with financial reporting and disclosure guidelines of all regulatory agencies. This role will support management on the research, implementation, and strategy of tactical projects including but not limited to new investment products offered by the firm and new complex instruments including derivatives used by the funds in order to implement their investment strategy.
Completes work in accordance with financial controls, firm policies, and regulations and demonstrates accountability/ownership for work completed.
Provides instruction and oversight of complex financial transactions, investigates and resolves issues, and performs analysis.
Applies strong business knowledge and technical expertise to develop and recommend solutions to complex problems.
Technical Research & Consultation
Performs technical accounting research, as necessary, to ensure practices / conclusions / positions comply with applicable authoritative accounting, legal, regulatory requirements; confirms conclusions internally and with external auditors and legal as appropriate.
Serves as consultant to internal and accounting operations by providing subject matter expertise during implementation of new and/or changed accounting and reporting requirements.

MBA or pursuing an MBA, CPA, or CMA certification
7+ years of mutual fund experience
Technical accounting experience with Big 4 Audit Firms
Advanced knowledge of accounting principles and practices and their application to a variety of areas
Analytical skills and sound judgment
Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills
Works well independently and in a team environment.
Strong Excel skills
Experience with Mutual Funds
Ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines
College degree and 2 years of related work experience, or
Associate degree and 4 years related work experience, or
High School diploma/equivalent and 6 years related work experience
