As a part of the Middle Office team, the Middle Office Support Specialist will engage in customer interaction, trade entry, and related trade transaction activities. The right candidate will preferably have an operations background, strong analytical skills, and needs to be able to work efficiently in a time sensitive work environment. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensure trade compliance by monitoring limits, approvals, and performing reporting. Perform reconciliations and account balancing using Microsoft Excel, Access and SQL. Help facilitate the implementation of new systems and required changes to procedures. This includes an active role in our banking software system through ongoing enhancements and system testing. Supervise the delivery of exceptional client service. Monitor communication between the Credit, Finance, Technology, Front Office and Middle Office. Ensure service delivered by the Middle Office to the Front Office and other internal customers exceed expectations. Resolve complex and/or urgent problems on a daily basis. Participate in various projects and initiatives to support Middle Office Operations and the other business units. This may include projects pertaining to the structure of Middle Office, operational flows and systems, rollout of new products and services, etc. Accurate entry and verification of financial transactions (i.e. Fed Funds, ISDA Collateral, Derivatives and Asset Backed Securities).Display understanding of and adherence to internal controls as well as relevant regulatory guidelines and controls and promote the awareness of the same. Other duties as assigned related to trade operations and systems. EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in computer science, finance, accounting, or investments 1-3 years of work experience Experience on a trade desk is a plus Knowledge of derivative products is a plus SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS Strong Microsoft Office Excel or Access skills SQL background a plus Bloomberg terminal background a plus Knowledge/experience with Summit software a plus.
