Job Overview: This position assists the Senior Business Analyst with the compilation and preparation of the accounting entries and census data to local governments participating in the Tennessee Consolidated Retirement System (TCRS).
Collects data and formatting of information related to GASB 68, Accounting and Financial Reporting for Pensions.
Collects and analyzes actuarial data related to Public Chapter 990.
Generates ad hoc reports from Concord (browser-based pension management system) for various TCRS inquiries.
Collects data from various sources related to assumptions, administrative fees, and other data from public pension plans.
Performs other duties as assigned by the Senior Director or Assistant Treasurer of Financial Strategies & Analysis.
Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a major in accounting is required.
The successful candidate will be required to have or obtain, within a reasonable period of time, a Master’s Degree in accounting or the necessary hours to sit for the CPA exam.
The successful candidate will also take and pass the CPA exam within a reasonable period of time.
