The Associate will be responsible for property and portfolio-level cash flow modeling, assisting the team in monitoring and improving the investment performance and will work with Starwood Capital in underwriting and transitioning acquisitions. This position is based in Chicago, IL.
Manage Argus Enterprise financial planning and analysis to reflect current activity and SRP assumptions
Review updated models for accuracy and consistency with corporate goals
Conduct property-level analyses assessing the financial impact of developments, expansions and significant leasing activity on investor returns.
Assist with investor reporting, internal valuations, other senior management analysis and external communications.
Provide analytical support to colleagues in the areas of fund operations and asset management.
Assist property managers and leasing personnel in development of annual operating budgets and quarterly forecasts.
Perform detailed quarterly long-term forecast analysis, review of rent rolls, current and future cash flow and forecasting of both present value and cash flows through Argus Enterprise.
Evaluating and reading lease language and understanding of impact to value of real estate assets.
The successful candidate will be a professional with demonstrated experience in the role or a similar role.
A Bachelor’s degree in a real estate, finance, accounting, economics or related field
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Highly skilled in modeling investments in Argus Enterprise / DCF. Strong proficiency with Microsoft Excel is a plus
Strong financial and analytical ability
Understanding of shopping center Argus recovery models
