The individual in this position is responsible for accounting for contracts from various businesses units of ACA Compliance Group, which includes the determination of the monthly revenue amount, reconciliation of the unbilled and deferred revenue balance, and project setup and maintenance in ACA’s client relationship management / accounting system. The individual in this position is responsible for reading and interpreting contract terms and ensuring that projects are set up accurately and in a timely manner.
Summary of Responsibilities:
Determining the amount of revenue that should be recognized for various business units of ACA Compliance Group contracts on a monthly basis
Reconciling the unbilled balances by contract to ensure that the balance can be billed in a future period
Reconciling the deferred revenue balance by contract to ensure that the balance can be recognized as revenue in a future period
Compile monthly reporting package and analysis of results, especially as it pertains to revenue and cost of sales.
Read executed client contracts and set up projects in ACA’s client relationship management / accounting system
Identify non-standard contract terms related to projects and work with the Revenue Manager on the proper accounting treatment
Update projects to reflect contract amendments and communicate project scope changes to applicable ACA personnel
Collaborate with the ACA sales team to ensure that sales opportunities are created and updated, if necessary, based on the executed contracts
Perform ad-hoc work/special projects as necessary to support ACA on various client and internal initiatives
Summary of Qualifications:
College degree with a concentration in accounting is strongly preferred
Two years’ experience with revenue recognition for services contracts
Two years’ experience performing project set up at a professional services firm preferred
Experience with Deltek Vision accounting system preferred
Demonstrated professional integrity

The individual in this position is also responsible for supporting the analysis of revenue, unbilled and deferred revenue on a monthly basis and for the annual external audit of revenue and related balances.
