To be responsible for Albourne America LLC accounting procedures, processing and
management reporting in a timely and accurate manner.
To manage Albourne America LLC tax compliance reporting, including liaison with external advisers
To provide support to the Albourne Group Chief Financial Officer.
Account abilities: Preparation of AAL accounts to TB
prepare monthly client invoicing, including new client set up, liaison with Group revenue reporting and monthly accruals journals;
posting of sales receipts;
day-to-day credit control;
monthly review and management of aged debtors listing
Carry out month end close procedures – including preparation of bank reconciliations, accruals and prepayments and other month-end journals and reconciliations as required to produce final trial balance
Day-to-day management of 1 accounts payable clerk based in Cyprus and any other AAL accounts processing as may be carried out remotely
“Second approver” of bi-monthly payroll reports sent to/received from payroll provider; twice-monthly posting of payroll journals
Analyse financial data and present monthly financial management reports in an accurate and timely manner to CFO and regional operating committee
Prepare AAL budgets in consultation with the CFO/Group budget process; monitor and report on performance v budget
Prepare quarterly rolling cash flow forecasts
Assist CFO or other senior management as required with group and ad hoc reporting and financial analysis
US Federal and State Tax and Canadian tax
Monthly/quarterly/annual preparation and filing of state sales tax returns; liaise with external tax advisers to ensure state tax implications are regularly monitored and updated
Work with HR and Compliance Managers to ensure systems are in place to capture employee travel information required for tax reporting in the US and Canada
Prepare/provide supporting information as required for Federal and State income, franchise tax and payroll taxes
Systems and Controls
Responsible for development, documentation, implementation and reporting of internal financial control and asset safeguarding procedures, within the wider group controls context
Oversee all accounts, ledgers, and reporting systems ensuring compliance with appropriate US accounting standards, tax and regulatory requirements for a foreign owned US subsidiary
Assists in development, report design, improvements and resolving issues related to the financial systems
Maintain and update professional and technical knowledge through appropriate training, seminars etc.
Supply information and prepare year schedules and reconciliations as required for annual external audit
Assist in preparation of company’s financial statements
With support from the CFO, coordinate all financial audit and tax activities including communications with outside accountants, tax consultants and parent company
Ad hoc projects upon request by the CFO or Head of North America
[5+] years of hands-on accounting experience in roles of increasing responsibility
CPA preferred, otherwise Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting required
Strong working knowledge of general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable and management reporting; payroll an advantage
Knowledge of US GAAP and key principles of application for a range of finance and accounting areas
Good excel skills, to include pivot tables
Experience of assisting/preparing sales tax turns; income tax experience an advantage
Ability to take responsibility, self-start and be flexible
Attendance at annual company offsite meetings
Compliance with the Compliance Manual and other Albourne Policies and procedures
