Work Activities and Accountabilities:
Design Coach: Assist the business contacts in 'providing business insights' with the data. Help with design options and recommendations for report, dashboard, and presentation output depending on their targeted audience and frequency of the report.
Tools Representative: Responsible for the Power BI usage and other reporting tools, such as Microsoft Excel, across the firm. This includes understanding how teams are accessing the necessary data, utilizing the reporting toolsets and providing insights to their internal and external audience.
Support: Knowledge sharing and education to employees in tool usage. Assist with ad hoc requests for data. Understanding of data structures and cube design. Aware of existing and future tool functionality. Liaison between the business and the tool vendors for any identified issues.
Data Modeling: General understanding of conceptual data models and how the overall data is structured.
Strong problem solving skills and the ability to quickly grasp the concepts to be presented for the business. Openness to iterative and frequent adjustments in fine tuning results. Detailed knowledge of Microsoft Excel. Basic initial understanding of Microsoft Power BI, SSAS (SQL Server Analysis Services), SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services), and SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Server).
