We seek a Controller to lead day-to-day finance operations including functional responsibility over accounts payable, accounts receivable, budgeting, reporting, payroll and grants administration, under the leadership of the Vice President of Finance. The Comptroller will also work closely with the Vice President of Finance, Vice President of Human Resources, senior leadership, and human resources (HR) and information technology (IT) partners to seek and explore opportunities to enhance and better integrate various Finance, HR and IT processing functions.
Position requirements include a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business Administration and a minimum of 5 years accounting experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience, including prior supervisory experience. Current CPA or CPA candidate.
Other requirements include extensive knowledge of non-profit accounting principles, procedures, and standards, including a strong understanding of 501(c)(3) accounting rules, 990’s, yearly audits, and other non-profit related accounting best practices. Demonstrated ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality, productivity and accuracy is a priority. Experience in budgeting, forecasting, and monthly close process with ability to follow an audit trail. Must be change and team oriented; proficient in MS Office, including Word and Excel. Experience with Salesforce or other relational databases is a plus; knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics SL systems is highly desired.
