Responsible for performing loan documentation and/or loan processing functions for commercial and/or all lending functions of the Bank. Provides mechanisms for efficiency workflow from lending officer to credit files with the desired result of maintaining up-to-date financial and collateral information and processing commercial loans from application to closing.
Essential job duties include, but not limited to:
Assists in loan closings, distributes loan proceeds/advances and pays invoices/fees associated with loan closing.
Balances and reconciles monthly abstract and GL escrow accounts and/or other accounts as assigned.
Compiles, prepares and processes loan file documents for underwriting approval.
Completes a variety of commercial and mortgage projects assigned by loan officers and supervisor.
Distributes exception reports to Loan Officers as needed.
Files and pays abstract bills and any insurance policies related to commercial/ag/mortgage loans.
Follows-up and maintains accurate documentation for all loan files, including proper insurance coverage, titles, UCC filings/continuations, title opinions, flood reports, and any other required documents.
Inputs new loan information into the computer; maintains tracking log; and assigns loan number as needed.
Maintains construction loan files with correct documentation and processes construction draws as assigned.
Manages letters of credit; balances report monthly as assigned.
Manages loan participation program daily; requests or remits advances as assigned.
Monitors loan balance report as assigned.
Obtains and completes copies of loan applicants’ credit histories, corporate financial statements, and other financial information.
Prepares in-house title opinions, pulls credit bureau reports and flood certificates.
Prepares loan summaries for all consumer, agriculture, and commercial loans as assigned.
Prepares reports for loan committee weekly as assigned.
Processes closed/paid consumer, commercial, agricultural, and mortgage notes on a weekly basis.
Processes loan advances for home equities, commercial and consumer lines.
Pulls bi-weekly report to follow-up on pending/expired docs.
Pulls mortgage and/or commercial loan insurance reports on a monthly basis to update.
Receives and clarifies verbal and written loan instructions.
Responds to credit information requests for commercial customers/accountants/auditors.
Scans, catalogs, and verifies original loan documents on a daily basis.
Verifies and maintains accuracy of loan input data to the bank's core system.
Verifies documents for all new mortgages/HELOC as assigned.
Represents the bank in a positive manner at community/organizational activities.
Responsible for knowing and following Bank Security Act (BSA) and Customer Identification Program (CIP) regulations, policies and procedures.

Required: Bachelor's Degree (four year college or technical school) or equivalent work experience
Field of Study: Business/Financial/Accounting
Required: 5 plus years of experience in commercial loan administration/processing/support
Knowledge of banking procedures and policies is necessary.
Understanding of basic loan concepts and a working knowledge of lending principles, mortgage processing and underwriting is necessary.
Good communication and customer service skills are essential as this job requires a high level of client interaction.
