As a co-founder of the Accounting and Reporting team at CZI, you will be responsible for installing the systems and processes, as well as hiring the people needed to scale with the broader organization. This role is ideal for someone who wants to build, someone with an ideal mixture of technical and operational accounting, and someone whose philosophy is rooted in collaboration and great customer service.
Build the in-house accounting function at CZI from the ground up, including system design and implementation; hiring; process design, improvement, and implementation; and acting as a primary liaison to the CZI initiative teams for ad hoc or as required projects and analysis
Partner with the Controller and own the CZI close and reporting cycle
Develop and perfect the close process, calendar, and reporting
Drive the implementation of the accounting and reporting system — and the related user experience
Work with external advisors to support audit and tax requirements
Candidates should have at least 6 years of experience
Be a certified public accountant (CPA)
Should have robust managerial experience, including setting objectives, providing feedback, and coaching
Possess outstanding communication skills (written, presentation, verbal), as well as demonstrate strong interpersonal instincts
Candidates should operate from a driving spirit of massive collaboration and customer service
Prefer candidate to have Netsuite and/or Workday experience
Candidates who have been trained in auditing at a Big 4 accounting firm, and then progressed (either in level or accomplishment) at a dynamic and rapidly growing commercial organization
