We are seeking a Weath Advisory - Paraplanner in our St. Louis, MO office. The Paraplanner participates in the financial planning and investment advisory process in conjuction with CLA's Wealth Advisory Service Team's policies and procedures.
The below functions reflect the general details of the essential work activities and accountabilities of this position and are not all inclusive. Other activities may be assigned.
Client Care/Business Management: Respond and resolve technical questions and research topics related to all areas of financial planning and wealth advisory. Contact clients and potential clients for various operational and industry standard tasks relating to the financial planning and investment advisory process. Prepare financial documents for client meetings including, but not limited to: agendas & forms for appointments, industry standard and/or compliance related correspondence, third party and proprietary paperwork. Attend meetings with clients to present and review financial solutions. Act as a consultant in financial matters to clients following CLA's Wealth Advisory procedures and policies. Answer questions and provide readily available information to clients, as requested, as it relates to serving their accounts; provide recommendations for action for other Wealth Advisory Service team members. Manage and resolve client service issues. Request trades/transactions from the operations team in compliance with established policies and procedures. S/he will ensure CLA strict protocols are completed for every trade/transaction. Follow-up with operations team on outstanding tasks and deliverables. Perform other allowable duties as assigned by the Wealth Advisory Service Team. Maintain primary client contact during the financial planning and/or wealth advisory process. Review and update client information in multiple databases as needed for client review meetings; document client contacts/calls in CRM.
Financial Planning & Advice/Product Solutions : Along with all other client facing Wealth team members, input specific client data into financial planning software to prepare reports, charts, graphs, tables and other visual aids to be used in implementation & review meetings with clients. Exercise discretion and independent judgment to prepare and review final financial planning documents, in conjunction when appropriate with a client specific Wealth Advisory Service Team. Develop with other team members portfolio/robust product solution recommendations that will fit the client's risk tolerance, suitability and investment objectives. Assist Wealth Advisory Service Team with the recommendation and creation of more advanced and complex financial plans specific to clients' objectives. Gather client and prospective client information and into financial planning software. Prepare preliminary financial planning recommendations and initial product solutions that meet compliance and team protocols for advisor review and use in client meetings.
