-Perform engagement management responsibilities: performance reviews, task delegation, project scheduling, project financials, and quality review and client management -Assumes responsibility as project leader and applies subject matter knowledge on multiple engagements. Provides value-added advisory and consulting services to clients in addition to compliance services -Manage client relationships and expectations and collaborates with teams in designing audit procedures, monitoring solutions and client deliverables -Plan and manage audit engagements for federal government clients to include training and supervising the work of team members and managing the client relationship -Knowledge of principles and practices of internal audit, including risk based auditing -Possess solid technical Generally Accepted Accounting Standards (GAAP) accounting and research skills - Identify and communicate audit results to senior management and clients. - Provide direction and oversight for all aspects of the audit, including all key reporting and testing as required -Maintain steady contact with clients throughout the year, which entails thorough knowledge of the client business needs -Review staff assignments, making certain they are appropriate and keep the principal informed of all important matters, analyze the major problems that occur and recommends solutions -Review and supervise audit, including reviewing financial statements, management letters, and supporting work papers, trial balances, adjusting entries, client data for accuracy, reasonableness, and completeness -Must have experience in managing teams, good client communications, writing skills and leading team meetings -Must have experience in one or more of the following: Managing and reviewing CFO Act/financial statement audits or Performance audits, consulting services, financial statement compilations, or special projects -Knowledge of OMB Circulars A-123, A-136, including CFO Audit, GAO FAM, FASAB, Treasury and financial related OMB guidance
