Leads the reconciliation of manual and complex invoicing and financial analysis for the Billing, Collections, Receivables and Revenue Assurance components of Customer Revenue Services. Supports the development of annual O&M Budget for Customer Revenue Services. Performs financial analyses, preparing forecasts, developing strategies and recommendations to manage budget variance, Prepares appropriate schedules and presentations as required. Duties include completing financial analysis and forecasts which are developed on an ad hoc basis as well as monthly revenue analysis, aging statistics, receivables and collections analysis, reconciliations and operational reports; assuring quality, accuracy and timeliness. Ensures the efficient and effective application of generally accepted accounting principles, practices, rules and procedures. Ensures conformance with governing standards. Using established procedures, analyzes departmental fiscal data, programs and operations. Uses current organization-wide software to complete assignments.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Industrial Engineering, or a related field. CPA, MBA, or Master’s Degree in a related field is preferred.
Experience: Eight (8) years to include financial modeling, analysis, and forecasting, business planning, preferably in a municipal utility environment with an understanding of utility revenue and expense structure. Must have exceptional analytical and communication skills.
