The Chief Diversity Officer will serve as a member of the Executive Team and will lead the Bank's diversity and inclusion strategy, specifically the Office of Diversity and Inclusion (ODI) efforts and activities, as well as coordinate Bank-wide diversity and inclusion efforts.
Lead the Office of Diversity and Inclusion, including AA/EEO reporting and compliance efforts.
Guide, advise, and oversee diversity and inclusion outreach efforts in the categories of Workforce, Workplace, Supplier, and Capital Markets, and help ensure Board engagement with diversity and inclusion efforts.
Assist the Executive Team in developing and applying a diversity and inclusion lens to all aspects of the Bank's operations.
Support the Board of Directors in expanding its understanding of diversity and inclusion, its value and impact on the Bank, our members, and their communities, and report regularly to the Board on the progress of the Bank toward our diversity and inclusion goals.
Responsible for hiring, developing and providing oversight for resources by means of effective coaching and performance management.
Advise and coordinate employee resource groups.
Work in partnership with business units to develop programs and initiatives to embed diversity and inclusion throughout the Bank.
Partner with external stakeholders and other Federal Home Loan Banks and organizations on diversity initiatives, including but not limited to the Financial Services Pipeline Initiative.
Guide efforts and create opportunities to define, assess, promote, and enhance diversity and inclusive excellence and equity and cultural proficiency, including Bank training.
Oversee compliance with the Federal Housing Finance Agency (FHFA)'s Office of Minority and Women Inclusion (OMWI) regulations.
Required Experience, Knowledge, and Skills:
5-10 years prior experience in a Diversity and Inclusion role (either workforce or supplier), preferably within the Financial Services industry.
10 or more years of management and leadership experience, preferably in financial services.
5-10 years of experience in supporting programs to further enhance workforce/workplace, supplier diversity and/or vendor management organizational agendas.
Knowledge of regulatory issues impacting diversity and inclusion, including but not limited to Dodd-Frank Section 342 and the Housing and Economic Recovery Act (HERA) Section 1116.
Must have excellent communication (verbal, written, and listening) skills.
Strong organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize and coordinate multiple tasks.
Strong matrix management skills.
Strong presentation skills.
Ability to work with and maintain confidential information.
