We are currently hiring for our next Staff Accountant, Revenue in Boston, MA.
Reporting to the Manager of Revenue Accounting, the Staff Accountant role will include various revenue recognition responsibilities including, but not limited to, processing customer credits, posting journal entries, reconciling the general ledger, maintaining fixed and determinable pricing, reviewing open sales orders, and assisting in other assignments as needed.
What You'll Do:
Reconcile and post customer credits for product returns and deposit redemptions
Prepare and submit monthly price posting schedules to ensure compliance with state regulations
Monthly reconciliation of sales journal and general ledger accounts
Support month end revenue close process by preparing journal entries and reconciling balance sheet accounts
Review change in price and materials to confirm accurate billings
Compile weekly reporting of revenue and returns data for senior management
Review all deposit related transactions for accuracy
Assist in providing audit support to both internal and external auditors
Play a key role in special projects and other assignments as needed

What We're Looking For: Required:
B.S. degree in accounting, finance, or related area of study
1-3 years in an accounting role
Understanding of GAAP
Ability to multitask, work independently, and meet deadlines
High degree of accuracy, attention to detail, and confidentiality
Strong communication skills
Proficiency in Microsoft applications
SAP ERP experience is a plus
Anaplan, Every Angle, Cognos experience is a plus
Sarbanes-Oxley experience is a plus
