Manager Title: Controller - Production Direction
Key contributor to the development and analysis of cost standards related to the production of our finished goods. Analytical support of production finance processes including annual operational budgeting process, cost standards development, cost savings, cost standards for innovation, and agave planning. Role includes extracting monthly data from BW, SAP/Material Ledger, and analyzing global production reporting related to gross profit, G&A, other income/expense, and production variances. Consolidation of reporting across over 20 sites through close relationships with Controllers and production finance teams.
Support the annual cost standards process and analytics in the SAP system and the development of aged whiskey content standards. Provide analysis for the development and communication of our preliminary and final cost guidance process.
Develop financial analyses for new product and new packaging innovation projects. Communicate findings and conclusions in an articulate manner and influence packaging decisions with key brand and production stakeholders. Provide analytics at various project phases from early conceptual design through to final production cost standards.
Support production variance analysis and reporting (brand, FX impact, etc.) on a Tax and GAAP basis.
Lead analyst for Production Direction G&A which includes providing support to the Production Direction business leaders (e.g., Supply Chain, R&D, Quality, Packaging, Engineering Services, etc.,). These activities also include general accounting functions, financial reporting and analysis, budgeting and forecasting.
Provide analytical support for the global production cost savings program. Develop detailed financial analysis and decision support for cost savings proposals/projects such as packaging and R&D initiatives. This includes the analysis of projects/opportunities in terms of estimating Costs of Goods, NPV, IRR, P&L impact, etc.
Support the further development and optimization of Material Ledger SAP module. Work with Controllers, Production finance and IT to ensure optimal use of the system.
Provide analytical support and develop expertise within the tequila supply demand process. Serve as backup resource for this important function.
Coordinate and support the annual operational budget process for Global Production including updates to the corporate planning tool (i.e., Jedox) for gross profit, G&A, and other income/expense. Develop financial benchmarking and analysis allowing greater decision making by Global Production leadership. Drive changes and updates as directed and consolidate and summarize budget.
Education: College/University (Bachelor's or Equivalent); Accounting, Business Administration or Finance
Experience: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Business Administration or Finance plus 4 years accounting experience or 6 - 8 years equivalent experience in production accounting. Demonstrated proficiency in product costing. Demonstrated experience and proficiency in applying Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and concepts. Attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and completeness. Strong verbal and written communication skills with an ability to communicate effectively with all levels of the organization. Ability to build productive relationships and partnerships and influence others. Excellent business planning and analytical skills. Ability to work flexible schedule to meet deadlines. Proficiency in Microsoft Office with an emphasis on Excel and Access, and Google software. Proficiency with SAP-ERP software including the following modules: product costing, material ledger, materials management, inventory management, production planning, integrated manufacturing, financial accounting and controlling. Preferred Experience & Education: Education: Other; Certifications: ACCA, CIMA, MBA and/or CPA Experience: ACCA, CIMA, MBA and /or CPA Certificate. Experience in alcohol beverage manufacturing environment
