The Accounts Payable/Student Refunds Manager is responsible for managing the college's expenses for routine accounts payable, employee travel payments and consultants. Supervises student refunds. This position is responsible for the submission of state sales tax reports as well as 1099 reporting. Manages the general ledger chart of accounts setup and user account security. The ideal candidate will also have a working knowledge of enterprise-wide central accounting and reporting software systems.
This position requires a bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field and three (3) years of directly related accounting experience. Work experience reviewing or processing disbursements including travel with a South Carolina state agency or local governmental entity; preparing 1099 forms and identifying independent contractors; and familiarity with Department of Education Title IV regulations is preferred. Strong Excel spreadsheet skills are vital to the success of this job.

Additional Salary Information: Salary is commensurate with education and experience based on a SC pay band 6 with a salary range of $39,960– $73,935.
