Performs intermediate accounting functions for the organization. Primary responsibilities include full cycle accounting, including general ledger maintenance and analysis. These positions are also responsible for reporting, internal and external relations, and general administration.
We are looking for two positions, one to focus on Payroll and Benefits and the other to focus on Reporting and Analysis
Payroll & Benefits – Performance of payroll and benefits accounting in alignment with federal, state and local payroll laws, retirement and deferred compensation plan compliance rules and regulations, including 401(k) and 457 plans and employee benefits.
Reporting & Analysis – Performance of reporting and analysis activities in alignment with generally accepted accounting principles, insurance and health care industry accounting and reporting (i.e., IBNR, DMAP, MMLR and NAIC).
Minimum 3 years’ experience as an Accountant (1-2 years’ Accountant experience may be considered with a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting and with core experience from public accounting or financial reporting)
Accounting work experience in the health insurance industry
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
