As a Sage Business Partner for the Sage 100 Contractor product, our consulting services include implementation of the construction-specific software Core, Payroll, Service, and other modules, as well as ongoing support for our clients. Accuracy and timeliness are as important as integrity and organizational skills. A genuine love of teaching, with experience in a variety of teaching styles, goes hand-in-hand with the need for continued learning. This role requires a strong work ethic, a balance of implementation and support time, and regular interaction with clients.
Responsibilities and Outcomes
Arrange client training sessions, be on time, take notes, and provide follow up procedures for our clients
Assist in the Design, Project Management, and implementation of Sage 100 Contractor to meet the agreed Scope of Work
Respond to client requests with specific next steps for training sessions, special projects, and other accounting tasks; arrange follow up sessions and check in on their success
Complete requests and deliverables within the promised time frame
Accounting work, implementation, and client training performed according to GAAP guidelines
Create and deliver work papers and procedures to clients
Help our clients become independently successful using the software effectively and efficiently in their role at the company
Pro-actively communicate with clients and make arrangements to assist with life-cycle tasks such as yearend Payroll Closings, regular Union rate/benefit changes, software upgrades, and other tasks that clients need to have done
Skills for This Position
Bachelor’s degree in business and/or finance
Five or more years’ experience implementing Sage 100 Contractor (formerly Master Builder) Core, Payroll, Project Management for Specialty Subcontractors; Service experience a plus
Experience teaching and training including documentation and procedures for end-users
Extensive experience in bookkeeping tasks for AP, AR, Payroll, and all matters related to producing accurate, timely, and reliable financial information through the Sage 100 Contractor product
Experience and knowledge of various accounting structures including Departmental Income structure, Work In Progress balance sheet structure, Subaccounts, Summary accounts, Union setup within the software, Payroll Reporting, Progress Billing, and Project Management modules
Experience with Sage 100 Contractor Report Writer and report form modifications
Works well under tight deadlines and effectively manage user requests
Likes to be challenged, results-oriented self-starter who is organized
Great communication skills, verbal and written
Skill and experience creating and maintaining an audit trail for all financial transactions and customer interactions, including electronic documentation
Experience and proficiency with Office including Excel and Word
Willing and able to take continuing education training
