Job purpose: The purpose of this job is to develop financial well-being of the organization by providing financial projections and accounting services, preparing growth plans and directing staff.
Develop and monitor policies and procedures within General Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and corporate guidelines to ensure sufficient cash flow, reduce operating costs, and increase revenues within a multi-company, multistate, project based environment.
Reports financial status by developing forecasts; Prepare Monthly Financial Reports; analyzing variances; developing bidding strategies.
Prepare and monitor monthly Work In Progress Schedules showing %Complete, Earned Revenues, Cost To Complete, Earned GP and Over/Under Billings
Develop and promote a framework to drive financial accountability across the organization; provide timely and meaningful analyses and reporting to operational leaders.
Develops financial strategies by forecasting capital and taxation planning; identifying monetary resources; developing action plans.
Maximizes return on invested funds by identifying investment opportunities; maintaining relationships with the investment community.
Updates job knowledge by remaining aware of new regulations; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional construction accounting publications; participating in professional construction organizations to stay current on state of the art construction accounting practices.

Direct reports - Accounting Department (AR, AP, Payroll)
The current CFO will be available to train replacement for 6 months-1.5 years and work remotely afterwards when needed.
Must have a bachelor’s degree in accounting and a minimum of 5 years’ experience as CFO with a large construction organization and extensive knowledge of construction accounting practices.
CPA considered a plus.
Must have current knowledge of construction accounting technology and construction software; must have extensive knowledge and firsthand experience with utilization of construction KPI’s and other construction performance benchmark and analytical formulas. Working knowledge of Computer Guidance Corp-ECMS software a plus.
Strong interpersonal skills required.
