Responsible for the efficient and economical operation of our organization’s special assets function which is comprised of a portfolio of $25 million / 250 accounts. Leads a team of Special Assets Loan Workout Officers to reduce our holdings of high-risk and nonearning loan assets including nonaccrual loans, seriously delinquent loans, restructured loans and acquired properties. Additionally, responsible for overseeing litigation management, special asset reporting, and being a subject matter expert in the design and delivery of in-house training for our lending and credit teams. Demonstrates our core values in the handling of our most sensitive lending relationships
Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Finance, Economics or equivalent work experience. Masters degree a plus.
5 or more years of experience in credit, lending with a preference given to agricultural background
Extensive knowledge of collections, special assets management, with preference given to knowledge of Borrowers Rights
Demonstrated competency in credit administration, bankruptcy proceedings and legal matters relating to lending and collections.
5 or more years of experience in leading effective teams
Superior communication, organizational, analytical and problem solving skills
Superior interpersonal skills with the ability to deal with the most sensitive and confidential situations
Good knowledge of technology and reports / reporting validation
Frequent travel, including overnight travel required.
