CallisonRTKL seeks a Controller to join our Baltimore office.
Develops, maintains and enforces documented accounting policies and procedures
Prepares detailed reports and evaluations of financial information
Provides management with recommendations for action and/or modifications regarding financial procedures, plans, and controls
Analyzes requirements for information
Evaluates the existing system, designs new or improved data processing and outlines system change requirements and specifications to guide the programmers
Maintains financial security by establishing internal controls
Prepares use documentation of financial information systems
Supervises and guides overall objectives, new concepts and policy matters
Ensures US financial and accounts payable operations are carried our productively
Coordinates responses to requests from internal and external auditors
Ensure payroll is processing in a timely manner
Provides support for special projects, financial analysis and other tasks as needed
Organizes workflow to ensure that employees understand their duties and delegated tasks
Monitors employee productivity and provides constructive feedback and coaching
Provides guidance and training to staff across all entities
Oversees general cash management
Responsible for company-wide bank account maintenance and helping to drive cash targets from parent company
Assists VP Finance in oversight of accounting operations for all company subsidiaries
Helps develop uniform approach for accounting group
Supervises less experienced staff on certain project or tasks
Bachelor's degree in Accounting
Minimum 15 years financial experience with at least 5 years in a leadership/manager role
Public Accounting experience preferred
Ability to mentor and motivate staff
Positive attitude and adaptable to the needs of the business
Excels in internal client service
Advanced Excel skills
Experience with a robust ERP system
