POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for planning, organizing, and controlling the day-to-day operational activities of the Bank under the direction of the President/CEO.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervises and works closely with management to ensure the operational effectiveness of the Bank to achieve best possible outcomes.
Ensures all Bank operations are effectively integrated to achieve best possible outcomes.
Ensures development, prioritization and implementation of strategies to accommodate current and future organizational plans, programs and needs. Leads in coordination and implementation of strategic initiatives.
Ensures all operational aspects of the Bank’s activities operate in a safe and sound manner and in the best interest of the Bank’s shareholder, Board of Directors, employees and customers.
Ensures that operations staff provide high level of customer service.
Ensures compliance with Bank policies, procedures and processes.
Works closely with the Bank’s Information Technology manager to ensure the integrity and availability of information at all levels. Includes but not limited to all Bank customer information, data for daily use of department managers, and management information reporting.
Study the Bank’s internal and external environments and keep abreast with current industry trends to best position the bank for success.
Identify, track and mitigate operational risks.
Review and guide key vendor relationships for strategic success and profitability.
Participate in community activities to increase the Bank’s visibility and to enhance new business opportunities. Participate in Bank-sponsored events as outlined in financial institution’s “Community Events Program”.
Other duties as assigned.
DESIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
Previous work history in financial institution(s) in an operational leadership role, including project management experience.
Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals, with the ability to effectively lead multiple departments.
Commitment to excellence in quality, integrity and customer service.
High level analytical, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability and willingness to adopt and lead change initiatives throughout the organization.
Knowledge of the various operational areas of the bank.
Ability and willingness to communicate openly with the President / CEO, Board of Directors, shareholders and Bank management.
Ability to develop and maintain positive and effective relationships with the Bank’s shareholder, Board members, coworkers, internal and external auditors, customers, and regulatory agencies.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or related field. MBA or advanced studies in Finance/Accounting/Business Management or Graduate School of Banking is preferred.
Experience: Seven to ten years of progressive and proven experience in bank management. Strong management and interpersonal skills are necessary.
