The Farm Credit Illinois Board of Directors is seeking to appoint an outside director with financial and audit expertise. Areas of experience may include but are not limited to: work as an accountant or auditor; preparation or reviewing financial statements for large companies; completed coursework in accounting, financial analysis, or auditing; and a reasonable understanding of GAAP. General knowledge of agriculture and agriculturally related businesses would be helpful but is not required.
Farm Credit Illinois is a farmer owned agricultural lending cooperative serving the southern 60 counties in Illinois. The Board of Directors is responsible for providing direction and oversight of the business affairs of Farm Credit Illinois and for ensuring the association fulfills its mission while operating in a sound business manner. The board is comprised of twelve member-owner directors elected by the stockholders and two outside directors appointed by the board. Outside directors are to provide independent perspective and broaden the board’s collective knowledge and expertise. Farm Credit Illinois desires a diverse and well-balanced board.
