Perform variance analyses, to feed into management reporting.
Reconcile the company credit card.
Prepare and maintain company records of all financial transactions.
Assist in the preparation of month-end accounts.
Prepare VAT returns on a quarterly basis.
Prepare payment runs and assist with any related queries.
Effectively manage and file all relevant financial documentation.
Take responsibility for maintaining the purchase, sales and nominal ledgers. This includes the verification and update of transactions as required.
Manage company expense forms.
Take the initiative to enhance and improve financial processes and controls where appropriate.
Perform multi-currency reconciliations on a weekly basis.
Process invoices, in line with strict guidelines, on a weekly basis.
Actively studying towards an accounting qualification (ACCA/CIMA or equivalent).
2+ years of experience within a finance function.
Strong working knowledge of Excel, including if statements, pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
Experience using Sage 50 is essential, and experience using Xero is advantageous.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to liaise successfully with stakeholders across all levels of seniority.
Self-starter and self-motivated; ability to both be strategic or to roll sleeves up as required.
