The Department of Accounting and Taxation in the Stillman School of Business seeks to hire a full-time Lecturer and Director of Graduate Accounting Programs to teach accounting courses, to advise undergraduate students, and oversee our graduate programs in accounting. This nontenure track appointment commences with the 2020-2021 academic year, beginning August 16, 2020.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Advise undergraduate and graduate students in accounting and taxation; support the department Chair in scheduling courses; oversee assurance of learning and curriculum improvements in graduate programs; promote graduate coursework to undergraduate and other prospective students; assist the Graduate Admissions Director when recruiting prospective graduate students
Teach three courses per semester
Applicant will be expected to fulfill service requirements typical of all full-time faculty in the Department and to attend regular meetings called by the Dean.
A graduate degree in accounting or a related field.
University teaching experience, either full or part-time, with a demonstrated commitment to excellence.
Significant experience in the accounting profession.
Licenses and Certificates:
Certified Public Accountant or other nationally-recognized certification in the profession.
