AndCo’s Payroll and Benefits Administrator is responsible for the execution of semi-monthly payroll, payroll reporting, all employee related benefits assisting Finance with accounts payable and receivable while working collaboratively with a team of internal and external professionals in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment, demonstrating precision, expertise and high quality deliverables, in order to maximize efficiency, productivity and a very high payroll experience.
Duties and Job Responsibilities
Manage, process, and administer accurate and timely payroll semi-monthly including: direct deposits, deduction summaries and earnings statements for 90+ employees across various departments, localities, and states.
Ensure accurate and up-to-date employee earnings, deductions, and benefit information in the payroll system by processing all status changes, position changes, compensation or bonus adjustments, garnishments, terminations, and any other personal/employment changes as required.
Investigate, research and respond to any errors in payroll by reviewing past records and making any wage corrections or adjustments when necessary.
Serve as a resource for various departments related to payroll and benefits by providing detailed information requested by having an in depth understanding of payroll, taxes and HRIS systems.
Oversee all federal, state, and local tax regulatory filings and requirements.
Lead and produce all required year end audits and testing requirements.
Ensure accurate and timely vendor, tax, 401K, HSA and ancillary benefit payments are made.
Review benefit related invoices and employee deductions for accuracy then submit to Finance for processing as required.
Investigate, research, collect and compile payroll, benefits and administrative information for reports or analytics as requested. Use professional discernment and judgement on requests for information and what details to provide regarding requests received.
Review and approve employee expense reimbursement requests determined by company policies and procedures.
Assists the Finance department with accounts payable and receivable entry into the accounting software.
Cross train a wide variety of technical accounting duties; and assist with those duties on a regular basis or as requested.
Provide deep analysis on benefits before, during and after open enrollment.
Validate benefits elected are linked to the appropriate vendors and validate with monthly audits
Assist with completing employee verification and unemployment claims as required by law.
Assist with RFP, interviews, selection, and implementation of third-party payroll software and HRIS
Analyze policies, procedures and processes for opportunities to gain efficiency and effectiveness enhancements.

Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university
Minimum five (5) years of payroll, benefits, and local and state tax experience in a professional environment
Multi-state experience, more than 7, preferred
Accounting background, preferred
This job is located in Winter Park, Florida. Standard office hours 8a-5p. This is an Exempt position.
