Market Job Description
This role will closely partner with Senior Management and Business Lines to enhance financial reporting, decision making and shape strategy. This is a senior role and will operate within a finance team of qualified financial accountants.
The Finance team is part of a wider Finance & Controller function, split into three core reporting lines:
Finance is responsible for providing financial reporting and strategic financial management;
Regulatory Controllers are responsible for reporting to Regulators and;
Controllers are responsible for GL integrity and external financial reporting.
The role will report into the Head of Finance with the successful candidate joining a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment.
Provide finance support to lines of business and senior management as part of the strategic planning process
Partner with line of business and functional teams to improve cost analysis and decision making
Enhance income and expense analysis for performance management reporting including the application of key performance indicators and cost metrics
Establish and maintain relationships with senior management and business in the execution of strategic objectives including the development of new product initiatives
Develop the financial plan and forecast in line with the groups strategic objectives
Oversee financial planning, forecasting and modelling with the application of effective controls
Engage with internal stakeholders in the development of financial plans to align with liquidity, capital and other regulatory requirements
Oversee the calculation of key financial metrics for the pricing of assets and liabilities
Market Skills and Certifications
Professionally qualified accountant with several years post qualified experience
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including the ability to engage with senior executive management
Strategic thinking with the ability to anticipate financial risks and develop solutions and risk mitigation
Strong stakeholder management skills
Experience in financial planning and analysis techniques including forecast and cost models
Demonstrate proven track record in process improvement and efficiencies
Excellent skills with excel and power-point
Knowledge of financial products with banking or financial services industry experience
Experience in funds transfer pricing would be a benefit but not a prerequisite
