Market Job Description
This senior role provides an exciting opportunity for candidates to lead a team of qualified accountants in the delivery of financial reporting and strategic financial management to Senior Management, the Board and Lines of Business.
The Finance team is part of a wider Finance & Controller function, split into three core reporting lines:
Finance is responsible for providing financial reporting and strategic financial management;
Regulatory Controllers are responsible for reporting to Regulators and;
Controllers are responsible for GL integrity and external financial reporting.
The role will report into the Head of Finance with the successful candidate joining a fast-paced, challenging and rewarding environment.
Lead a team of financial accountants in the delivery of effective financial management and strategic finance support
Review monthly & quarterly financial reporting for Board and senior management
Support senior finance leaders in the preparation and execution of finance led governance committees
Ensure the delivery of key financial information to internal stakeholders for liquidity, capital and other regulatory reporting requirements
Oversee the execution of the month-end process including the design and implementation of effective controls, within a prescribed risk control environment
Provide leadership and support to the finance team including goal setting, feedback and performance development planning
Liaise with tax and outsourcing teams to support the finance role in transfer pricing and intercompany reporting
Support the preparation of annual accounts in accordance with local GAAP requirements
Assess and recommend approaches for identified issues and undertake regional or business specific remediation issues
Market Skills and Certifications
Professionally qualified accountant with several years post qualified experience, ideally in the financial services industry
Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to lead a team
Exposure to the accounting/finance function with a detailed understanding of financial reporting and related accounting function
Experience in the delivery of financial management reporting and key financial metrics to senior leaders
Demonstrate proven track record in process improvement and efficiencies
Attention to detail with the ability to identify and address key risks
Excellent skills with excel and the implementation of end user controls
Knowledge of financial products with banking or financial services industry experience
