Research and resolve tax accounting issues and draft supporting memoranda.
Support M&A by providing tax accounting support
Support new business initiatives/launches by analyzing tax accounting implications.
Report and communicate tax accounting of tax planning to tax and finance executive leadership
Assist local-country tax teams to resolve complex tax accounting technical issues
Assist other tax reporting leadership in preparation/review of global tax accounting and reporting, including calculating the effective tax rate, current and deferred tax provisions, taxes payable and related disclosures.
Provide supervision and development opportunities for associates
Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and support company mission, values, and standards of ethics and integrity
Mastery of complex tax accounting issues under ASC 740, including the following:
Business combinations, dispositions, and joint ventures
Uncertain tax positions
Outside basis differences
Foreign currency issues
Experience with IAS 12 a plus
US GAAP to Statutory reporting differences
Extensive knowledge of and experience with SEC annual reporting (Form 10-K) and quarterly reporting (Form 10-Q) requirements, including disclosures
Experience working with multinational SEC registrants
Ability to communicate complex accounting for income tax concepts and issues to a diverse audience of both internal and external stakeholders
Minimum Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field and 5 years’ experience in accounting, income tax compliance, payroll tax, or related area OR 7 years’ experience in accounting, income tax compliance, payroll tax, or related area.
3 years’ supervisory experience.
10+ years of experience in income tax accounting or related field Certified Public Accountant (CPA) Public accounting or large public company experience
Experience with Onesource Tax Provision software
Master's degree in Accounting (taxation emphasis) or J.D.
Rotation Experience in Big 4 National Tax Practice focusing on ASC 740
