The ideal candidate has 5+ of experience as a bilingual (English-Spanish) Sr. staff/financial accountant with potential to assume a controller role as the operation grows to the next level. He/she is responsible for the full accounting cycle including monthly and annual closings and the preparation of financial statements, execution of accounts reconciliation, G/L, A/R, and A/P.
Maintain G/L by processing all company A/R, and A/P invoices' collections and payments, respectively
Monitor and account for revenue cycle and recognition, respectively.
Track accounting software development costs and tangible assets.
Accurately record and maintain capital contributions and equity capital structure.
Review and verify accuracy of financial records and monthly and annual financial statements for internal and external reporting.
Liaise with external tax accountants and internal auditors.
Support administrative tasks as needed.
Bachelor's degree in Accounting required, CPA preferred.
5+ years of USGAAP required, IFRS preferred.
Business process experience and familiarity with ERP and reporting systems.
Process improvement/system migration experience, desirable.
Highly organized with excellent attention to detail and sense of urgency.
Exposure to Latin American subsidiaries' reporting and FX translation and USGAAP consolidation.
Experience assisting in budget, forecast, and variance analysis.
Must be bilingual English-Spanish (spoken and written).
Excellent teamwork and communication skills. Ability to interact with all areas of virtual organization and cross-functional teams located in various jurisdictions.
