The primary function of the Accounting Associate is to support the Finance and Accounting team in its accounting and financial reporting operations. This includes general ledger account maintenance, budgeting and planning, supporting external auditor examinations and projects related to the optimization of processes.
Accounting, financial reporting and analysis. Support the monthly general ledger close, including analysis and maintenance of certain general ledger accounts. Preparation and dissemination of financial reports. Develop budgets and projections for certain income statement categories. Process and monitor client fee collections. . Support the accounting, analysis and monitoring of corporate cash funds, shareholder activity, etc. Participate in accounting and reconciliations related to payroll in conjunction with the Human Resources team. Master Glenmede’s accounting platform (Oracle Cloud Fusion) to develop efficiencies, automate certain tasks and support projects. Maintain, evaluate and recommend improvements to current internal controls and procedures for relevant functions.
Firm Building. Engage in department-specific and firm-wide initiatives to expand capabilities, improve user experience, and develop more efficient processes.
Bachelor’s degree required, accounting major strongly preferred.
0 – 3 years of accounting experience required.
Relevant internship or experience strongly preferred.
Demonstrated agility with technology.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Detail-oriented and have a strong work ethic.
Demonstrated ability to work on a team.
Capable of prioritizing a diversified workload; occasional overtime work will be required during certain times of the year.
Ability to deal discreetly with confidential information.
