Serve as the lead accountant and primary contact between the State of Nebraska Financial System and the University of Nebraska Financial System (SAP). Must be able to analyze and problem solve reconciliation items. Evaluate new cost center requests by campus departments and establish in SAP. Unrelated Business Income Tax – collaborate and help implement reporting process improvements to reduce/eliminate potential tax exposure. Analyze construction projects for capitalization at fiscal year-end, such as buildings and land improvements. Perform miscellaneous accounting functions including miscellaneous journal entries, bond compliance, self-insurance allocations, fiscal year end closing duties, audit support preparation and other duties as assigned.

Minimum Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting plus Three years of relevant professional accounting experience required. Extensive experience utilizing spreadsheets and experience with SAP or similar ERP system essential. Experience must demonstrate excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills as well as organizational and analytical skills.
Ideal candidates will have a Master's degree in business related field and/or CPA. Public Accounting Experience. A CPA license is preferred.
