Situated on the Gulf Coast of Florida and Sarasota Bay, New College (www.ncf.edu) is a nationally recognized, selective public honors college with a 10:1 student/faculty ratio. This position provides direction for, supervises, and coordinates audits and investigations that promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in the administration of college programs and operations including, but not limited to, auxiliary facilities and services, direct support organizations, and other component units. S/he addresses significant and credible allegations relating to waste, fraud, or financial mismanagement as provided in Board of Governors Regulation 4.001.
The Chief Audit and Compliance Officer provides training and outreach, to the extent practicable, designed to promote accountability and address topics such as fraud awareness, risk management, controls, and other related subject matter. The Chief ACO develops and implements regulations, desktop operating procedures and work standards governing the College's Internal Audit and Compliance Program and interprets Federal, State, BOG and UBOT laws, rules and regulations that govern areas of the College and that require College compliance. Additionally, s/he investigates, or coordinates the investigation of all conduct within the College involving violations of state ethics requirements, ensures management in the event of non-compliance and takes appropriate corrective and disciplinary actions.
This position is involved in change management; developing workable implementation plans; communicating changes effectively; building commitment and overcoming resistance; preparing and supporting those affected by change; monitoring transition and evaluating results.
