Monroe Capital LLC is seeking a Staff Accountant for their Accounting and Operations department. This position will be responsible for supporting the firm’s Controller in all accounting functions related to the management company and general partnership entities. The candidate must be comfortable working in a fast-paced growth orientated environment and should exhibit strong organizational and multi-tasking skills.
Assist with general bookkeeping including A/R and A/P functions.
Review, audit, and process expense reports.
Manage the firm’s expense reimbursement process.
Reconcile GL and bank accounts on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis.
Verify and post transactions to journals, ledgers, and other records. Prepare statements, invoices, and other internal reports.
Assist in preparation of financial and operating reports including trial balances, adjustments, and closing entries.
Assist in the review of monthly, quarterly, and year-end consolidated balance sheet and profit & loss statement.
Prepare lead schedules in support of the Management Company’s year-end review\audit and tax engagements.
Assist with special projects and analysis as needed.
Assist with other administrative functions as needed.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, REQUIRED:
General accounting knowledge, including G/L and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Strong knowledge of QuickBooks, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and advanced in Excel.
Excellent organizational and project management skills.
Candidates must have strong communication and computer skills.
Experience working within multiple legal entity structure a plus.
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting required.
Two to four years of relevant business experience required.
Telecommuting is allowed.
