The University of Cincinnati Blue Ash College, Business Office invites applications for an 80% FTE Accountant 2 to serve in our Business Affairs office. UC Blue Ash College is the largest regional college in Ohio and one of the largest colleges at the University of Cincinnati. We offer primarily associate degrees and have an enrollment of approximately 5,000 students.
The UCBA Business Office is seeking a professional employee who will be engaged in the day-to-day administration of specialized activities requiring training and on-the-job professional experience. The person in this position will provide recommendations and expert advice to management or other groups on process-related topics and conduct or carry out work procedures and activities in accordance with local, state, federal, and university regulations. Primary duties may include: Oversight of UC Blue Ash College purchasing process, hourly time administration, financial analysis, grant accounting, and other financial duties as needed.
Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree with two (2) years’ experience; -OR- Associate's degree with four (4) years’ experience; -OR- six (6) years’ experience. Degree must be in Accounting or related field with related accounting experience.
Ideal Qualifications: Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; strong customer-service orientation skills; superior organizational ability; highly accurate and detail-oriented; ability to function as part of a team; strong problem-solving skills; flexibility, multi-tasking and time management abilities. Previous experience in a higher education setting.
