The EMEA Finance department at Nomura is made up of a close-knit team of approximately 200 employees across 8 different countries. The department is structured into the following functions: Financial Control and Regulatory Reporting, Middle Office, Treasury, Management Information and Cost Management & Analytics, Tax, Control & Oversight and Finance Change. Moves between these different areas are common and are supported by management in order to give all staff a rounded experience.
The Cost Management & Analytics team are responsible for helping to drive cost efficiency through the analysis and MI reporting of the Nomura Group's expense base, including global investment expenditure and subsequent returns.
Support production of monthly costs deck for Group CAO and Wholesale business, corporate NPE transformation saves programmes, costs allocation MI and various EMEA specific analysis
Act as a business partner to various senior stakeholders located in different regions and functions
Provide insightful data analysis in order to deliver high quality understanding of the underlying cost base and drivers of budget variances
Support the annual budgeting and forecast cycle, including management of the deliverables, systems support and overview analysis for senior management
Regular various ad-hoc tasks, including: responding to data queries from stakeholders, creation of one-off packs in PowerPoint, modelling of financial data
Contribute new ideas for fresh analysis, improvement of process and for making better use of technology
