The primary objective of this position will be to teach a variety of accounting-related courses in the Accounting Major in the Management Division at New England College. Additional responsibilities include committee work, internship oversight, advising, and review and evaluation of the major on a yearly basis. Candidates must have documented teaching experience, evidence of teaching ability with demonstrated knowledge and use of effective and innovative pedagogy and the ability to work with a diverse student population.
• Teaching undergraduate core accounting courses including Financial Accounting, Management Accounting, Financial Reporting I & II, Cost Accounting, Federal Taxation, and Auditing and Attestation; • Ability to also cover topic courses including Accounting for Non-Profits and Advanced Accounting; • Able to take on committee assignments; • Ability to contribute to the advancement of the Management Division; • Ability to be a “go-to” person for all things involving the Accounting major.
• A doctorate in Accounting or closely-related field; • ABDs in final stages of dissertation will be considered; • Evidence of successful teaching ability; • Professional accounting experience.
Preferred Qualifications
• Certified Public Accountant; • Certified Management Accountant; • Demonstrated teaching ability with a diverse student population.
