The Assistant Municipal Accountant reports to the Municipal Accountant and performs general accounting and administration functions for multiple municipal clients.
Provide accounting, administrative, and technical support to the Municipal Accountant
Prepare accounts payable warrants in compliance with MGL
Maintain, verify, and input financial records such as payroll, cash receipts, journal entries
Prepare general ledger account reconciliations
Look for opportunities to provide additional services to our clients.
Perform other job functions and projects as requested to support the Firm.
Must be able to travel to client locations occasionally.
Meet the firms CPE requirements.
Associates Degree in business, accounting or related field with 3-5 years of related experience
Strong interpersonal skills.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, are a MUST.
