You will be working with the Product Control department of the team, initially working as a part of the valuation project where emphasis will be on FVH, Day One P&L and Independent Price Verification (IPV). This is a new project that is operational to a certain degree, involving setting up an infrastructure within the bank and subsequentially running a process.
This is an international team, built up of some of the greatest international minds across Europe and as a business, this organisation is always looking for new innovative ways to constantly evolve and continue leading the way within their sector.
During the project you will be fully embedded in the team, where you will take on tasks and processes executed by the department. Following this, you will transition into a position as an expert within the valuation area where you will take on significantly more ownership and responsibility.
Main tasks include:
Working closely with many internal and external parties such as global risk managers, senior management, the external accountant and regulators
Being responsible for the execution, analysis and advise on the monthly IFRS valuation adjustment process for the bank globally
Being responsible for the execution, analysis and advise on the bank's valuation framework
Reporting towards senior management and facing the external auditor
Working on ad hoc projects which involve working with large datasets and data manipulation
5-7 years of experience in the Risk or Finance domain
Valuations background, valuations adjustments and price testing experience
Understanding of financial products and their accounting
Strong skills in VBA, experience working with Access and Excel
Experience with prudent valuation framework (CRR 105) and/or IFRS 9 and 13.
Strong academic level, preferable in Economics/Finance
Attentive, works under pressure and sees things through until they are completed
