Job Summary: Working within the Accounting Team, the Accounting Associate works directly with the Controller and is a key contributor to the entire accounting cycle. This includes a mix of corporate accounting functions, project accounting, and executive level financial reporting and analysis.
Perform Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and other corporate level accounting functions as needed.
Assist with the preparation of monthly Financial Statements, reports, and analysis of results.
Assist with preparing monthly invoice package containing draft and final invoices for all billable projects, including all applicable backup.
Assist with timesheet and expense report review and posting procedures while ensuring proper coding & expense reimbursement according to Raftelis’ Travel Policy.
Effectively manage the accounting for each project’s life cycle, including project opening, maintenance, and close-out procedures.
Perform ad hoc project analysis and for Project Managers and Executive Team as needed.
Effectively communicate with Project Managers and clients regarding contract documents, change orders and other contract modifications, approvals, and any additional services-related to billing.
Continuously monitor business practices and procedures to identify areas of improvement in a fast-growing environment.

Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field
Strong written and oral communication skills
Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite
Detail oriented with ability to execute and manage many priorities simultaneously
Ability to work both independently and in a team environment
Prior experience in the professional services industry or project accounting environment
Experience with Deltek Vision or similar ERP system
