The primary role of the Accounting & Financial Analyst II for HealthONE Colorado Care Partners is to provide direct overall financial management and reporting for HealthONE Colorado Care Partners. This staff leader will be responsible for the accounting and finance functions of HealthONE Colorado Care Partners and their administrative services client, Practice Health, participation in the day to day operations and client decision support of the organization as a member of the Finance & Analytics Team, and participation in contracting and health plan payer relations.
Direct Finance and Accounting functions for Colorado Care Partners and Practice Health: •Executes all phases of Finance including the monthly financial statement close process, Third Party accounting and reimbursement analysis, statistical gathering and reporting, cashiering functions, and serves as a primary finance and accounting resource to the CFO and leadership team. •Creates the financial statements for Colorado Care Partners and Practice Health. Reports financial status to the CFO and leadership team, as well as potentially to the respective Finance Committee and Boards. •Is the primary liaison to the HealthONE Accounting Team for financial integration with HealthONE. •Provides revenue analysis and forecasting. •Participates in annual policy setting for Practice Health membership dues. •Partners with staff related to Accounts Receivable, and membership invoicing. •Participates in calculation and audit of physician payables for monthly care coordination fees and annual bonus. •Partners with staff related to the Accounts Payable function and cash flow management. •Participates in the preparation of the annual budget. •Coordinates yearend tax reporting functions including Federal and State income tax financial statement support and 1099 reporting.
Finance and Data Analytics Team participation: •Participates as a member of the Finance and Analytics Team providing guidance on financial impact of contract performance. •Participates in data management for all managed care contracts, including participation in the implementation of the population health solution, Wellcentive. •Participates in the creation and distribution of performance / financial reporting sent to physicians related to value based contracts. •Works in partnership with the Analytics Team and Clinical Team Leadership to facilitate reporting requirements to execute Clinical Team strategies. Payer relations and contract management: •Is a partner to the CFO for payer contract negotiations and financial analysis of value based and fee for service contracts. •Participates in the maintenance of the physician database of fee schedules, reimbursement summary reports, and payer contracts. •Oversees maintenance of the Network Participation Agreements files. Serves as a strategic partner to the CFO.

KNOWLEDGE/SKILLS/ABILITIES: •Must have effective verbal and written communication in order to communicate in a clear, concise manner with staff, department directors and managers, public, and administration. •Must demonstrate knowledge of GAAP and the ability to incorporate consistent accounting workflows, documentation, and processes. •Must demonstrate proficiency with accounting systems, including mainframe and QuickBooks. •Must demonstrate advanced Excel / spreadsheet skills. Experience with BI and visualization tools are a plus. •Must possess strong organizational skills. •Must be detail oriented and be recognized as a competent technical resource. •Must have strong analytical skills to interpret and analyze a wide range of data. •Must possess knowledge about managed care and third party contractual arrangements and have the ability to analyze such arrangements, including reimbursement and revenue.
EDUCATION/LICENSE/CERTIFICATIONS/QUALIFICATIONS: •Education: Bachelors of Science in Accounting or Finance •Experience: Five years of accounting and analytics experience, preferably in healthcare. •Certification: Current or previous Certified Public Accountant preferred
