![]() Research Administrator 2 Stanford University The Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery at Stanford University Medical Center takes pride in the rich tradition of excellence and pioneering firsts that have made it one of the top cardiac and thoracic programs in the nation. Our long and distinguished legacy of research dates back to the late 1950s our most notable triumphs being the first adult human heart transplant in the United States, the world's first successful adult human combined heart-lung transplant, the first successful use of a ventricular device as a bridge to transplantation, the first thoracic aortic stent graft, and the development of the first integrated platform for minimally invasive heart surgery. Department of Cardiothoracic Surgery is seeking a Research Administrator 2. Duties will include developing and negotiating industry budgets, creating tools for tracking and reconciling study expenses and performing post-award activities for the grants and industry sponsored trials. This will include establishing and approving account set-up in the financial system, preparing interim and quarterly financial reports for review and certification with faculty and research staff, invoicing sponsors for expenditures using CRISP (Clinical Research Invoicing System for Participants), preparing individualized study trackers so that the research staff can document account expenditures, balances and payments, analyzing financial data and processes, closing out accounts, update databases and fulfill sponsor's financial reporting requirements per the terms and conditions of the agreement, as well as the University and hospital policies, and federal regulations and requirements. These study specific trackers will be used by the research staff to track effort and expenses. The Research Administrator 2 will oversee and manage the timely processing of labor distribution for the CT Surgery staff. This position will also assist with processing amendments for ongoing studies, perform budget checks for new studies, as well as generate purchase requisitions and reimbursements and journal entries for CT Surgery. * - Other duties may also be assigned EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE (REQUIRED): Bachelor's degree and three years of job related experience, or combination of education and experience.
