The Senior Accountant ensures the accuracy and timeliness of the General Accounting Department responsibilities including Accounts Payable, Payroll, Fixed Assets and General Ledger, to sustain a financially accountable organization with the highest standards of record keeping.
Responsibilities Include (but are not limited to):
Oversees fixed assets review and tracking. Including: Review setup of new assets, track CIP, and record depreciation. Ensures GL and sub ledger balance monthly. Ensures fixed assets documentation is scanned and supported for year-end reporting.
Oversees grant reporting, including drawdowns, monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting.
Reconciles monthly, loans payable. Includes current and long-term debt tied to the Balance Sheet.
Prepares month end journal entries as assigned on month end close listing.
Ensures finance department procedures are current and standardized for the entire staff.
