This position exists to develop manage and coordinate the operation of the regional SBDC operation in accordance with the goals and objectives of the State Office at the Department of Employment and Economic Development and the U.S. Small Business Administration requirements for the Small Business Development Center programs. This position provides management counseling and screening of needs to small business clients. Emphasis is placed in the areas of developing programs to meet the specific technical assistance and training needs of the small business community, and overall coordination of direct small business services with public and private sector small business assistance organization.
Minimum Qualifications (expected to have to enter job)
Bachelor's Degree in related field example: business/finance accounting
Five years related advanced level business or administrative experience
Business Consulting experience
Knowledge in marketing, accounting or finance concepts.
Experienced in spreadsheet applications, computer usage, and computer financial analysis.
Strong management and administrative skills along with demonstrated competence in oral and written communications.
Ability to work well with others and under deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize and delegate to get things accomplished.
Manage multiple projects and priorities.
Masters in Business Administration
Certified Public Accountant
Economic Development Finance Specialist certification through the National Development Council.
Prior business management or ownership
In-depth knowledge in marketing, accounting or finance concepts
