What We’re Looking For Baylor University’s Controller’s Office is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant – Facilities, Construction and Business Services who will support the compliance, accounting, and audit work of the team.
The successful candidate will demonstrate the following:
Strong critical think and decision-making skills
Strong analytical and audit skills
Project management and process mapping skills
A Bachelor’s degree, five years of relevant work experience, CPA license, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master’s degree and seven years of relevant work experience are preferred.
Adopts financial best practices and ensures all transactions follow applicable policies and accounting standards for facilities management and construction activities and real estate services; maintains a big picture perspective
Actively monitors financial systems and procedures for all programs and cost centers in area of responsibility through adherence to sound accounting principles and Baylor policies.
Prepares reports as appropriate to meet University and Departmental requirements, including cash flow projections and power points for executive presentation.
Prepares timely budget projections and analyses, analyzes fiscal impact of various process options and/or new programs; makes recommendations for improved cost effectiveness and budget utilization; assists with budget management.
