What We’re Looking For Baylor University’s Controller’s Office is seeking a full-time Senior Accountant – Facilities, Construction and Business Services who will support the compliance, accounting, and audit work of the team. A Bachelor’s degree, five years of relevant work experience, CPA license, and an active Christian faith are required. A Master’s degree and seven years of relevant work experience are preferred. What You Will Do - Adopts financial best practices and ensures all transactions follow applicable policies and accounting standards for facilities management and construction activities and real estate services; maintains a big picture perspective
- Actively monitors financial systems and procedures for all programs and cost centers in area of responsibility through adherence to sound accounting principles and Baylor policies.
- Prepares reports as appropriate to meet University and Departmental requirements, including cash flow projections and power points for executive presentation.
- Prepares timely budget projections and analyses, analyzes fiscal impact of various process options and/or new programs; makes recommendations for improved cost effectiveness and budget utilization; assists with budget management.
