TheAudit and Advisory ServicesDirector provides leadership, coordination of resources, and direct supervision to the OHSU Audit and Advisory Servicesprogram, as well as theAudit and Advisory Services team. Audit and Advisory Servicesassists and advises the OHSU Board of Directors, President, Vice Presidents, Finance and Audit Committee, Audit and Advisory Services Steering Committee, business unit leaders, and all levels of management. Audit and Advisory Services, through the actions of the OHSU Chief Integrity Officer and audit staff, is responsible for assessing institutional risks; recommending systems and procedures that intend to manage, reduce, or eliminate those risks; identifying gaps in policies and procedures that are critical to OHSUs missions; facilitating the economical, efficient, and responsible use of resources entrusted to OHSU; and developing means for correcting and improving problems or issues of non-compliance that are identified in the audit process. This position manages the organizational risk library, and develops and implements an annual, risk-based work plan that evaluates compliance with federal, state and local regulations. Responsibilities focus on adherence to OHSUs mission, risk assessment and minimization, operational excellence, and superior customer service for healthcare, research, academic and central service missions.This position also manages the Audit and Advisory team of auditors, and is responsible for departmental planning and forecasting, and final approval of departmental budget.

Sitting: Chair or stool continuous up to 8 hours per day and intermittently. Changing position: Intermittently as needed. Walking: Intermittently up to 4 hours per day on concrete, vinyl and carpeting. Carrying: Up to 20 pounds for intermittent periods and distances. Lifting: Up to 20 pounds, intermittent throughout the day. Pushing/Pulling: Up to 20 pounds, throughout the day. Bending: From the waist and knees, intermittent throughout the day. Reaching/Handling: Fine manipulation to use equipment, repetitive, gross motor requiring full range of movement in upper extremities, including overhead reaching. Twisting: All range of movement required, intermittent periods throughout the day. Climbing: Staircase, intermittently throughout the day. Crawling: Infrequent, but possible on vinyl or carpet surface. Equipment used includes typical computer and business office equipment.
