Qualifications include:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting required. CPA preferred.
• 4+ years’ related accounting experience required, including payroll, tax filings, fiscal year-end processing and general ledger.
• This position has 2 direct reports, a Staff Accountant and Payroll Coordinator, so must have experience supervising staff and/or serving as a team lead required.
• Experience with financial reporting and working in the non-profit sector strongly preferred.
• Must take initiative, maintain confidentiality, pay close attention to detail, be able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously, effectively manage a team, and complete work with a high degree of accuracy within tight deadlines.
• Excellent customer service, communication, math, organizational, analytical, critical thinking, and time management skills required, as well as knowledge of current federal and state payroll, vendor, and privacy laws and generally accepted accounting principles.
• Strong technical acumen essential, with proficiency in MS Office, payroll software (ADP preferred), cloud-based ERP accounting software (Acumatica preferred), and the ability to learn and apply new technologies; experience with a member management system (eg, netForum) and virtual meeting platforms (eg, WebEx) preferred.
• Some overtime and travel may be required.
