Lead accounting activities to ensure compliance with GAAP, integrity of GL account balances, and an effective internal control environment
Assist in forecasting and budgeting, including providing historical analysis and updating forecasts based on actuals.
Assist with treasury and management of cash flow, including monitoring, analyzing, and projecting cash flows and bank balances
Perform thorough review of month-end trial balances and financial statements to ensure properly stated and drive the year-end close process, including annual audit and various projects.
Specific duties include journal entries, account reconciliations, month-end close, explanation of variances versus budget, forecast, and prior periods. Preparation of financial statements, management reports/analyses, and management reporting package.
Ensure appropriate supporting documentation and analysis is maintained to support journal entries, account reconciliations, and accounting estimates and conclusions.
Additional responsibilities include billing, A/R, cash applications, employee expense report reimbursements, corporate credit cards, fixed assets, A/P, and payroll.
Identify areas requiring accounting policies and develop and implement policies in those areas.
You have bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
Min 4 years of combined public accounting (audit) and industry experience
You have a CPA (preferred but not required).
You have a strong foundation of GAAP and General Accounting.
You have experience supporting external audit.
Experience in Accounting Systems
Experience analyzing, documenting, automating and improving processes and procedures
